Placido Domingo cancels “Parsifal”
Plácido Domingo has regretfully cancelled his contracted performances of Wagner’s Parsifal for April and July 2007 in Munich due to his taking out the title role from his repertoire for the forseeable future.

In the performances on April 1, 5 and 8, 2007, Nikolai Schukoff will sing Parsifal.

It is Placido Domingo’s explicit wish to participate in the Munich Opera Festival 2007 under the artistic direction of Kent Nagano. There will be a Gala Wagner concert featuring Plácido Domingo, Waltraud Meier, René Pape and Martin Gantner on July 8, 2007 in place of the planned Parsifal performance. Kent Nagano will conduct this Gala concert.
